Power in the Sky

Two toned light and darkness fills the dome above the earth while the sun peeks from behind the clouds as the lightning bolt crackles through it all. Clouds come together to form faces as if the two are having a conversation with the sky. Who would have known that there would be power in the sky. Darkness flows under the clouds protecting what’s beneath them hidden from the naked eyes which wishes to see what’s there. Lightning strikes hard only to divide into the letter Y. A little is seen in the background, but the power in it is still the same; dangerous. Accumulations of anger from all sides erupted into one big cloud of anger. The elements from very high up did not join in the conversation, nor did they make an appearance to be seen. It was all about the sky, the clouds, and the lightening to make things right between themselves, and to respect one another and who and what they represent.

Let the sun shine through the darkness so that light may be seen in you. Don’t worry what things may look like on the outside, but it is what is on the inside that’s important, and that is the soul of the man and woman alike. Whether you are young or old, let the sight shine in you which breaks through the darkness that is keeping you in bondage, which is sin. Get rid of the darkness, walk in the light, and let go of sin. Sure, there will be division among people when the light flows in. Some don’t like the light; they prefer to be in the darkness thinking that nothing that they do will be seen, but the fact of the matter is this; everything is seen in the light and in the darkness by the eyes who sees everything.

When It Rains

When we look up at the clouds in the sky, we often see some of them becoming dark and gray. The first thing we say is that it is going to rain. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn’t. There are times when we can smell the salt in the air when it is cloudy and humid, so we know that the rain is on the way. When the rain starts to fall from the sky, it smells so good. It is so cool and refreshing. I can say that because I have been in the rain before just walking and enjoying it. I remember when I was a kid, we all would be outside playing in the yard, and it would start to rain, those were the best times. I never let the rain stop me from doing what I wanted to do, or going where I wanted to go. It is fun being out in the rain unless it is storming.

Looking at this picture gives me feelings of nostalgia; I don’t know why but it does. Looking at the lights glowing on the bridge, and seeing the lights in the background makes me wish I could really experience that moment in time. Just looking at the water on the ground makes me wonder what’s there. Looking at the sky, it looks as if it was a storm and not just a simple refreshing rainfall. I suppose the person in the picture is enjoying the moment as it has taken place. The feeling one gets when it rain is normally a good feeling. I say this because the ground needs watering, and the atmosphere is clean and fresh. Whether it is warm, or cool after it rains, it still feels good.

I enjoy reading a good book when it rains, and I enjoy just relaxing watching a good movie, or listening to my favorite music. Sometimes I just like taking a good nap. How do you feel when its rain? What do you do? Well, until next time, enjoy the rain when it comes. c.2022 L.A.

Give Me My Flowers

Life is precious, and we should cherish every moment. We should forgive those who have wronged us, because we never know when it will be our last day on this earth. Sometimes we may not know what to say, or what to do to show someone we love them. We wait until that last moment to find the words to say, but when we find those words, it is always too late to tell that person just how we feel about them, just how much we love them. We wait util they have gone on home to be with the Lord, well it is too late then.

I know it is hard to tell someone just how you really feel about them while they are living, but tell them anyway, don’t wait until they are gone. Don’t wait until they cannot hear you or see the tears in your eyes if any to tell them just how much you love them. Give them their flowers while they can smell them and enjoy them. Give them their flowers while they can smell them and enjoy the beauty of them. Once the eyes are closed, nothing can be seen or enjoyed. Nothing can be seen anymore.

Give me my flowers while I can see them. Give me my flowers while I can enjoy them and behold the beauty of their creation. Don’t wait until I leave, I will not be able to do either one. Show me love, show me kindness, show me compassion, treat me with dignity and respect. Sit with me and help me to remember some of the things I have forgotten about. Don’t push me to the side and forget all about me. Tell me something funny that I may hear myself laugh. Give me a reason to keep on keeping on. Forgive me if I have wronged you in any kind of way, or if I have said something to offend you, but just don’t forget to give me my flowers while I still have my sight, smell, and able to feel the texture of them. Pray with me while my knees will still bend and help me up because it is hard for me to do so on my own. Don’t leave my side when I need your help. Be with me every step of the way. I need you just as much as you may need me, but whatever you do, just give me my flowers while I am here and can enjoy them. c.2022 L.A.

Into the Night

Looking at the sky it is a dark reddish black. Looking at the clouds they form part of an arm and hand. The moon shines through the darkness and gives a little light to the sky, but who knows what goes on as we dive into the night. Listen to the sounds that is all around us. Listen to the sounds in the distance that cannot be recognized by the ears of human beings. Howls comes into play as the nocturnal animals hide in their dens. Who would have thought that the hand in the sky would reach down and grab them and pull them up to the sky and hold them? Who would have known that the sky would be this color because it has never been before?

No one knew what was going on with the elements in the sky. The howling began to grow louder in the distance, but what was it? What was the creature making those loud terrible, and frightening noises? The sky grew darker and darker as the sound increased to shrieking screams which pierced the night. Nothing was stirring. Everything and everyone were afraid of what was going on outside. Was it a lost soul traveling in the darkness? Was it an unusual animal from the past looking for their family? Was it a hell hound roaming looking for something to devour? Was it a demon that had escaped from hell looking for a soul to steal?

Unusual as it was, fear had gripped everything in the path that it traveled. Nothing could escape the destruction that it left behind. It was as if death walked with it. The sound grew more louder than ever. No one could believe what was going on. No one knew what to think about anything anymore. Everyone felt like the end was near. The sun was still hiding behind the clouds, but still gave off a little light, but not enough light to see where to walk. What brought all of this on? What caused all of this? Was this a warning of what was about to come, or was it something to be expected because of what was going on in this little part of the earth? It was as if time stood still as this went on for hours on end.

There was no ending to the howling noises that were being made by this unknown creature. A face appeared in the clouds that was sinister and ugly. It looked like something from out of this world. Could it have been this face making all of this noise? Could it have been the elements shouting out in fear of this unknown creature invading their space? Could it have been all of the hate that was harbored in the souls of the people who were evil? Could it have been the voices of aborted children crying out from their graves? Whatever it was, it was very angry.

It wanted to let everyone know that it meant business. As the night grew even darker, nothing could be seen except the light of the moon that was shining through the clouds. The face in the clouds grew uglier, and uglier. The hand reached down and touched the ground, and as it did, the ground turned to black stone. The trees turned to concrete, and the moon went black, black as coal from a coalmine. Brimstone and fire began to fall from the sky destroying anything moving, but because everything was already ruined, it crashed into the houses of those who loved hate and unforgiveness.

There was nowhere to run, and there was nowhere to hide from the destruction that was taking place. Screams and shrills cracks the sky like never before. Skin was burning, and the stench of it was sickening. This was hell on earth to the fullest degree. Nothing could be seen except fire and brimstone falling from the sky. The end had come! Time was over, and destruction of the unrighteous had come. No water to quench the thirsty mouth. No water to quench the thirsty soul, and the fire and brimstone was never ending. Everyone was screaming in horror! Children were crying! What could they do to escape all of this hell that was going on in their part of the world?

Like fire that dances to the crackle of each burning twig, so was the sky which turned pitch black. The elements fell from their places in the universe! The stars fell from the sky like lightning bolts of electricity leaving craters in the concrete of the ground. Doom was all around! Again, nowhere to run and nowhere to hide! Death and destruction were on every side, complete chaos!

No one was prepared for what happened. Everyone was just living their lives as they did every day, but they noticed for days how the sky started to look, how things started to change, and the effect it had on everyone. No two people were the same towards each other…everyone had changed as if they had split personalities. As the destruction continued to go on, a great fire came up through the concrete of the ground and the lost souls who worshipped the one with the mark of the beast. They captured those who they knew were like them. They picked them out one by one, and even those who had murdered and killed innocent people for their own cruel pleasure. Their skin turned black as sackcloth, blacker than the darkest night, and the only thing that could be seen were the blood that was in their eyes that ran down their faces to the soles of their feet.

They all walked with their master back into the pit of fire where they all burned for all eternity. There was no escape for them. No returning to real life! Nothing to quench their thirst, only breathing in the fires, and the smoke, and the stench of burning skin down to the bones. Never again to see the sunlight that once shone on their faces. Never again to experience real love. Never again to laugh and cry for joy, only pain and misery would they face forevermore. Never again to see a rainbow after the rain. Never again to see the smile of another human face. Never again to feel the softness of a dog, or cat, or any other animal for all eternity. Never again to feel the coolness of the rain in the winter, spring, summer, or fall, or autumn, only fire that holds them close forever.

Daylight, The Dawning of a New Day

As the night came to an end, the sun came up over the horizon. The people who remained were righteous people. They were not touched by what had happened the night before, they had faith that everything was going to be alright for them because of who they believed in. It was a beautiful day. The birds were singing again, the squirrels were playing as they usually do, and the sky was pretty and blue again. Everything was back to normal. They went on living their lives, but without fear in their hearts. They knew that they were always protected even in all of the darkness that surrounded them. They knew that there was light at the end of it all, but they did not know it was going to be the next day. They did not know just how long the destruction was going to last. They had love in their hearts again for all people, not just those who were their friends, or who they just loved, but for every nation and tongue.

The Moral of the Story

The moral of the story is this: We don’t know when the last trumpet will sound before Jesus returns, so therefore, we must worship Him while we have our being. We must love one another as He has loved us for many generations. We must tell everyone we know about Him and what He has done for us. We must tell the lost what He did on Calvary for us. We do not want to be like the people in this story. We want to pay attention as to how we treat people. Disrespect is everywhere, but the question is this, do you want it among you? Do you want to walk around with hate and unforgiveness in your heart? Do you want to wait until the last minute to forgive someone who has wronged you, or someone who has made you feel bad? Do you want to hold grudges against those who has wronged you? Do you want to want to forgive and be forgiven? The choice is yours to decide.

Let love reign in your heart and pass it on to those who need the love of Jesus shared with them.

Distant Lights and the Beauty in Which it Surrounds by LA”BREA AQUARIA A Short Story

Looking out over the water, colors from the lights in the background illuminates the night with reflections only a master artist can create. What beauty it beholds to the eyes and the mind of the one who’s captivated by it. The stars twinkling, looking like diamonds in the sky to light up any path that may be there which may lead to the other side of the mountain which sits there majestically in the night.

Palm trees sway in the distance, just sitting there enjoying the lights which brings beauty to the night. How romantic it would be to just stand on a hill and Just take it all in. What a breathtaking moment in time? What can the mind think about such beauty? Looking out over the vastness of it takes my imagination to new places.
