Plants in the Desert Speaks Out

Sand and silence covered by a cloudy blue sky rests over a desert filled with greenery wishing for water to drink. It has been years since its rained, but they somehow managed to survive. They rest quietly looking at the clouds in the sky admiring the beauty of it all.

They all began to speak out to the sky asking for rain to cool the ground from the heat that surrounds them. The sky doesn’t respond, but the clouds swirl around slowly as if they were thinking about doing something.

The little critters who lived in the sand didn’t like the idea of it raining because it would wash them out of their homes. Day turned into night and everyone was sleeping, all of a sudden it began to mist. They thought it was just the dew as usual, but they realized it was rain. All of the little critters who lived in the sand crawled into the other plants for safety because they were afraid they were going to be washed away. The older plants welcomed them to stay with them until the rain stopped. They were so thankful that they lived together in the same place.

When the sun arose the next morning, they were all surprised that there was a spring running through the desert. They were all very happy. They never had to thirst again, or wish for rain. Every two to three weeks it rained. It never flooded, and they were able to grow and flourish together in their happy, not so dry desert home.

We have all been in dry places that made us feel like we were in a desert without any water. We don’t know why things happen to make us feel like that. When we think about being in those dry places, we must know that there will be a stream of water somewhere for us to drink from.

I am talking about the water from the stream of faith. Like the plants in this story, they had faith and asked for rain, but the sky poured them out a stream that they could always drink from, and stay watered to remain to grow.

Like us, we should remember that when we have faith, it is pleasing in the Masters sight, but without it, it is hard to please the Master Provider. Let us be rooted and grounded in faith just as plants in a dry desert place.

Television Shows About Art

What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?

I have always loved to draw and paint. When I was young I learned to paint. Growing up living in the country you had to be creative. There was a show that came on television on Saturday mornings called The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross. I still watch it on my television all called Pluto TV. Art helps me clear my mind in so many ways. I think it is the colors and how they are used together to create something beautiful.

If there was a way I could have just shows about art, I would. Creating art and writing stories about it is another thing I like to do when given the time to do it. I know that art will always be a part of my life. It is something that I will do, and that is create art.
