Looking Around Us

Looking around us, I see the coldness that chills us to the bone. As we breathe, we see the carbon dioxide that we release as we breathe in oxygen that fills our lungs. Why does the coldness make it so hard to breathe? We shiver from lack of heat, but we still enjoy the cold around us.

Just looking at the sky and seeing the fog, you know it is Winter. You know that there will not be any music from the birds that sings so beautifully. You know there will be no sun to give us warmth, or light. You know that rain lingers quietly in the background of the gray clouds in a white sky. The moon shines to give a little light, and the stars twinkle through the night like diamonds on a newly bought ring.

Quiet darkness lulls us to sleep as we dream of seeing a new tomorrow.

Pretty.
