Winter Storm

The rain falls from the sky and the waves of the sea slowly churn white foam that never reaches the shore. Lightening flashes in the background while thunder roars in the distance. Crackling of electricity fills the night sky while rain pours down in the ocean.

Clouds grace the sky watching the rain fall, but where are the high waves? Where are the waves that will reach shore to cause destruction in the wake of the night that flows into morning?

Where will the waves land? What will they uproot? As the wind blows hard against the sand, droplets of sand is taken up by the wind which blows harshly while the rain turns into ice falling from the sky with electricity lighting up the sky as the thunder rolls in anger!

What caused such torment with the atmosphere? What caused mother nature to become so destructive? What caused the sea to churn? What caused this winter storm?

Was it something said about the sea? Was it something said to anger the elements? Was it just suppose to happen for no reason? Maybe it was because the cleansing of germs were needed?

While the rain fell like sheets of glass from the sky, sea creatures went as far down as they could go as not to be harmed from the storm. Those who lived in the sand did not stand a chance for survival.

Sleet and hail began to fall as the wind blew hard against the ocean. With on where to go, the people had to stay where they were. No where to go. No where to hide from this raging storm. Who would have thought that this would have happened! Watching as things worsened, everyone was in a panic! Everyone started to think that the end was near…the end of everything and everyone.

As the storm raged on, people began to pray for their lives to be spared. They began to repent of all of the wrong things they did in their lives. They began to show love to one another instead of selfishness. Within a moments notice, everything stopped. Everything stood still and quiet. Everything was back to normal. It is a shame that had to happen for the people to love one another.

This winter storm represents all of the things we go through in life. We never know when something may happen to get our attention. Storms do not only bring destruction, but it also brings people together.

The moral of this story is this, never expect tbe unexpected, because one never knows just what may happen in a split second!

No one knows what may happen just by looking at the sky above. It may be clear one minute and cloudy and dark the next.

Live everyday as if it were your last. Enjoy your family near and far. Love everyone genuinely. Don’t judge one another or anyone else for that matter. Live and be happy, because we never know what tomorrow may bring, and tomorrow is not promised to anyone.

What winter storm are you facing today? Will you let it overtake you, or will you let it blow over. My advice is this: Give it over to the One who controls it all. ©2021
